Directions from Dublin (80km)
- Drive North on the M1 towards Belfast
- Take the exit for North Dundalk/Carlingford (third exit) and take the third exit off roundabout, direction Dublin/Belfast. At second roundabout take the 2nd exit, direction Carlingford.
- Continue for 14km and take the left turn for Carlingford
- Entering Carlingford you pass The Four Season Hotel and Ghan
House and the Tourist Office on left, take the left immediately
after the Tourist Office, then turn left at the 'no parking' sign,
go up the narrow street which leads to the car park, park here.
If staying at 3 Old Quay House: Having turned left at the ‘no
parking sign’ go past first turn on right, and stop at electronic
gates on right hand side, turn right into Old Quay House . If
staying at The Gate House: having reached the car park drive through
the arch of The Tholsel and the gates of The Gate House are immediately
on your left.
Directions from Belfast (70 km)
- Take the M1 from Belfast
- Turn on the A1 to Newry
- Head towards Newry, follow signs for the Quays shopping centre
- Turn left at the traffic lights for Omeath/Carlingford taking
you alongside the canal on your left and the shopping centre on
your right
- Drive through Omeath and on to Carlingford (approx. 15 km)
- Entering Carlingford there is a sign for the Marina on your
left. Continue straight on under the bridge and pass St. John’s
Castle on left. Take the first turn to your right, then turn left
at the 'no parking' sign, go up the narrow street which leads
to the car park, park here.
If staying at 3 Old Quay Court: Having turned left at the ‘no parking sign’ go past first turn on right, and stop at electronic gates on right hand side, turn right into Old Quay House . If staying at The Gate House: having reached the car park drive through the arch of The Tholsel and the gates of The Gate House are immediately on your left.
